Why I do what I do …

August 7, 2012

After a slow and stressful start to the year as I tried to create momentum for my new venture Webwiser, things have gathered speed and come the beginning of August I was looking forward to a bit of rest and relaxation as well as some welcome relief from the wettest UK April/May/June/July/Summer on record.

So, after enjoying the excellent opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and first couple of day’s competition on home soil we escaped the new front of bad weather and headed to our faithful bolthole in Murcia, Southern Spain for a week of guaranteed sunshine.

This year my daughters have got the riding bug bad, so a top priority was to find somewhere in the region where they could spend time with horses.

A bit of web searching revealed El Rancho de La Fuente Equestrian Centre – a riding stables on the edge of the Calblanque National Park, a conservation coastal area which offered the chance to ride along the virtually deserted and beautiful beaches.

Anyway, the net result is the following video clip which captures part of their experiences and has become one of my new favourites.

It is moments like this that are a timely reminder of why I do what I do.
